2013 is coming to an end and after a fantastic year we would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their valued business and support. It has been a pleasure working with you all and we would like to take a little time to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the team at AutoDrain.
Last month the Environment Agency found Bishops Waltham scrap yard in Hampshire guilty of not storing waste oil and fluids correctly. This endangered the groundwater and they were fined over £20,000.
AutoDrain will be exhibiting at this year’s RWM Show on the 19th and 20th September. The show is held at the Telford International Centre, and is one of the largest recovery shows in Britain. It caters for every aspect of recovery and breakdown, including transportation and fuel recovery.
With fuel prices nearly at record levels, it is vital that petrol and diesel are reclaimed from end of life vehicles. It is no secret how dangerous fuel can be – especially the vapour produced by petrol – so recovering and storing it needs to be done safely and legally. Did you know that just 1 litre of petrol produces 15,000 litres of vapour?
The AutoDrain QuickDrain Compact system has proved popular with authorised treatment facilities and dismantlers since its launch in 2010. Its ability to remove all fluids from end of life vehicles in a neat and efficient manner has helped companies, large and small, depollute vehicles every day.
We know how valuable catalytic converters are in vehicles. Whether they are brand new or a decade old, they are well worth recovering. So much so, that there have been stories of people cutting cats off cars in car parks and people’s driveways. With such a prized possession on every vehicle, you need to make sure you are removing it quickly and safely. This is why we developed the AutoShear.
New laws and increasing site inspections across the UK mean it’s more important to operate your site legally than ever before. In July 2010 it became illegal for any individual to deal with refrigerant gases in vehilces without an accredited qualification. This is due to the ozone-depleting properties of the gas and the harm it can cause to skin.
AutoDrain will be exhibiting at this year’s RWM Show on the 10-12 September. The show is held at the NEC, and is the largest and most comprehensive recycling and waste management show in Britain. It caters for all industries and every aspect of waste and recycling management, including end of life vehicles, scrap metal and a whole lot more.
AutoDrain will be exhibiting at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show on the 9-11 April. The show is held at the NEC, and is the largest and most comprehensive road freight transport event staged in Britain, catering for every operator’s requirements from truck, van and trailer manufacturers through to handling equipment, insurers, tyre, telemetry and training providers, fuels and lubricant suppliers – and a whole lot more.
Happy New Year from AutoDrain!
